Respected members,

It is with great pride and humility that I step into the role of Secretary of Arunodoy Sangha for the consecutive three terms since 2020.
Our club is a completely a non-profit seeking and an apolitical organisation.
It has a rich history of various cultural activities, sports and social welfare.
I am honored to continue this legacy alongside such dedicated and passionate members.
We possess strength - and this strength comes only through unity. Let us all come together to use this strength in the interest of the growth and prosperity of our club.

Our journey was started on 12th June 1952 with a handful of members and we came across a long path to reach the threshold of the Platinum Jubilee this year. Now total strength becomes three hundred plus.

One of our most significant endeavours in line with Platinum Jubilee Celebration is that - for the first time in the History of Arunodoy Sangha a website of the Club has been thought of and the same has been launched successfully. It actually makes easier for our members and viewers to find us via Google searches, overcoming traditional geographic limitations. As a result, our club remains open to our members worldwide, at any time, allowing them to view our activities even after our operating hours.

As a part of Platinum Jubilee celebration, we have introduced “Life membership” ( which is Non-transferable). This is offered to all of our existing members against one time payment during their lifetime.

As a part of our future welfare initiatives, we have a plan to create a contingency fund for medical assistance to our members or their family who are facing financial hardship. I would like to mention few significant activities of our club – such as conducting of Yoga classes for women in association with Patanjali Yoga Centre against an affordable fees, Odissi dance classes for females of all ages, Mathematics coaching centre (from class VIII to class XII) and meditation programme at free of cost under the guidance of dedicated professionals of high Calibre.

Apart from these we also organise festivals like Durga Pujo , Kali Pujo , Vasanto Utsav. We celebrate Vivekanada & Netaji Jayanti, Rabindra-Nazrul Jayanti, Republic day and Independence Day every year. We also organise an annual sports & Underhand Cricket Tournament every year.

One major proposed task ahead of us is to install an elevator at our main building which will be very much helpful to those who are physically challenged as well as to senior citizens. At the moment it seems like an incredible task for us considering the estimated cost, but we are hopeful to finish it at the earliest. For this we earnestly request our members to come forward to support us financially or arrange for some sponsor specifically for this job.

We also encourage the innovative and realistic ideas from our members which suits our vision as well as our mission and give us impetus to implement the same for the growth of the club as well as for the upliftment of the mankind. In view of the above we encourage quality people to be associated with us as new member so that our club may be enriched by their valuable input.

So, let us work together to uphold the pride and values of our club and continue to serve our members with compassion, integrity, and commitment. Together, we can achieve great things. Our key objective is to create a positive impact in our society and become a role model for others.
